Rear end damage

Well i've not had the best of days today. Took my car to garage I've taken my cars for the last 15 years to get a wee knocking noise checked. They put it up on the ramp and checked the car. When finished the guy let the ramp down and went to wash his hands before moving my car. Thats when it happened!!!

My Evo rolled off the the ramp and rolled backwards in to a wall!!! :shock:

The back bumper is covered in scratches and gouges and split at the bottom below the reg plate.The offside light is out of line. The rear spoiler is scuffed at both sides at the top corners and is vibrating. The boot lid is out of line and kinked at drivers side below the spoiler. The exhaust took a bump aswell and scuffed at the end.

I took it straight to a body shop and the guy is gonna speak to Mitsubishi to get a break down of the back end of the car to see what parts are needed.
Might need a rear bumper and bootlid.

And of course the garage is footing the bill and supplying a courtesy car.

Gutted, but then thats why they have liability insurance. However I know a brand new front bumper for an Evo 6 WITHOUT VAT is £1400, and that's just the bumper....lip is extra! So it ain't gonna be cheap thats for sure.

I didn't even notice that nobody was in it. I just saw it moving off the ramp and then heard the thud!!! 4 of them came over and just stood looking at it, they were speachless.

It won't be going to Mitsi. It's an independent body shop I took it to and the guy will get the neccessary parts from Mitsi. Im pretty much gutted cause I was gonna come down to the photo shoot Foxy has arranged bit might not be able to make it if my car goes to body shop.

you should get a like for like car while yours on in the body shop.

bad news buddy, i got a sticker that will cover that.....

could have been a lot worse buddy the garage could have taken the i dont care approach and you would have spent weeks chasing it up so good job they are good guys.

are they letting you pick where to get the work done? cause that would be good too

will you still use them in the future??? thsts the question
