Re-Spray or Wrapped???

Hi Guys.
Im nearly at the stage of completing the bodywork on my car.and ill need to get the colour sorted on it, as it was originaly black, but one of the previous owners,(Old MLR Member)had done the following;
.Re-sprayed it Candy Green
.Rear door handles smoothed
.Carbon Bonnet
.Carbon Bootlid
.Carbon Spoiler
.C/West Skirts smoothed to car
.C/West Front Bumper
.Fiberglass E9 Rear Bumper
.Fiberglass Front Arches

Iv replaced.
.Rear Doors (Grey)
.Bonnet (Silver)
.Bootlid (Silver)
.Spoiler (Silver)
.Front Bumper (Silver)

Im now waiting for the 25th Aug for Black Skirts,Rear 8 Bumper and Front arches.
So when its complete ill need it sorting, so was woundering if id be better getting it Sprayed or Wrapped????

noway does it cost the same, spray will cost me around £2000-£3000 and a wrap will cost £800-£1100. haha

sorry, forgot you'll need to do the inside too! Wrap cheaper option. If you wanted to sell at a later stage, would sell better resprayed

I'd get it wrapped mate, paint and fibreglass don't look good together if you still using them, but otherwise if normal pannels I'd get it's sprayed

yeah mate ill have all oem exteriour panels. but im gona do the doors shuts black myself so it wouldnt need the doors shuts doing then if i went for a wrap, on the good note a mates coming round tommorrow who owns a wrapping firm to have a look and give a quote

if you end up damaging any panels it will be cheaper to repair if it was painted panels as opposed to wrapped panels were you'd have to repair the panel and re wrap it every time, just thought its worth looking into.

how is this true, as iv i damaged scratched a door, then id have to get the whole side of the car re-sparyed to match with the paint, but if i wrapped it, id only have to re-wrap the door??? and plus a wrap is quicker to do, will only need a good wash to wrap and is a hell of alot cheaper..... but paint has to go onto well preped panels,takes longer and is a lot dearer.

depends what body shop you go to, im actually a panel beater and a sprayer as profession if i get a key'd door im capable of blending in just the damaged panel by doing a blow in but if the panel was wrapped and some numpty came a key'd the vinyl that's the whole panel re-wrapped

oh right lol erm well a mate of mine came to have a look at my car this evening (Proffesional wrapper)and basically said he has a contracts with a coy called Helix and there vinals are garrenteed for 5 years on the roof and 8 years on things like the doors,
so yeah a wrappeddoor would be quicker and cheaper than a paint?

Yh a lot cheaper and quicker, and a good wrap job looks top dollar. It's just in all the door shuts and innards you need to worry about unless you have those bits sprayed and the rest of the car wrapped? Just an idea

yeah mate the guy that id be getting it done by is a good mate and i know his works always amazing, he does anything from puntos to high end lambos/ferriars/bmw/mercs/.
200% quality, and yeah id be doin the inners and shuts myself

definitely paint, wrap is ok until it gets chipped then looks awful, paint is the only way you can keep a permanent shine

Spraying would be best.. Wrap is a rights nightmare lol, plus you have a few panels sp worth the full respray

mmm i really want to get it wrapped due to time and money, atm, put like you said paint you can polish and i really enjoy polishing my cars, granted its all the same colour.

Just want to point out that unless you wrap it it's not going to be cheap best I was quoted was £200 ex vat for bonnet and roof, most was £200 for a bonnet and £200 for the roof..

hahah yeah thats cheap mate, iv been quoated 1200 for the whole car, wich is alot cheaper than 3700. for a spray, iv paid that before for a car to get sprayed and flared arches, all window rubber replaced and all the rust cut out and replaced, so...

The issue with wrap is it won't last forever, if water gets under the wrap it will peal.. Cheaper it is but paint will last longer..it is up to you and wrap can look really good what colour wrap you thinking of using?

well as the car was oringinally black, but the 1st owner had it sprayed cany green to copy the Norris Design time attack evo, id go mattalic black as the inside of the boot and engine bay are black still and yeah id prefare a spray because it has all different coloured panels on it atm. so looks a bit fruity, but i wont pull my self to drive it while its mulicoloured ha
