Re map AberDoom!

Hey Guys - anyone know of a good place to get the car mapped in Aberdeen.

I used to use Wallace performance when Russ was the main guy, but not sure if they are any good now.
They may be perfect but before i go booking the car in, wanted to know if you guys have had dealings recently and also if the map was good.

They have quoted 3 hours @90 per hour for the mapping... 3 hours seems a bit overkill to me as I am sure the Skyline only took an hour last time i was in.

Anyway - thoughts?

What ecu are you having mapped..? Guessing its not stock unless its already been mapped? 3 hours isn't to bad, thought most places charged by the hour for tweaking maps. Normally a fixed price for the initial base maps

Its a standard/stock ECU thats in the 8 Mr FQ320 i have.

Dont need to replace it, as they can plug in and map it without issue

I know you can map the stock ecu and remove the piggyback where needed, was just saying that sounds pretty cheap, even if its not going to be mapped on rollers.

The ecutec license to map the stock ecu isn't cheap.. sure its about £200 alone.They can flash map it which is cheaper.

pretty sure the MR 320 does not have a piggy back unit - seen a few posts on MIL and lancer register that state the MR 320 is one of the easiest to plug in and map as standard?

Anyhoo - no idea, I just want it on the 4wd rolling road , and mapped

No your right don't think the Mr 320 does.. the 340 has the piggyback to get the extra few bhp. But then your only re joining two wires to remove the piggyback.

If it's a price mapped on the rollers then it sounds a bargain. It ia worth every penny ;-)
