Do these really make any difference I have the 560cc in now but was looking at buying a set of these

Why do you want 1000cc? Just leave them unless you go power nearer 600 when they will be a requirement.

I think your confused, more fuel doesn't equal more power.

with the mods you have i'd say your probs about 360-380 bhp at the moment and the 560's are fine for that, you'd have to change all the internals before the 1000's would be of use

yes rob but it dnt make sense to me and yes the 4 engine m8 i want a set of cams but it dnt say what sort i can upgrade to so i can go looking for them

The stock cams and hotside were upgraded from the Evo VIII MR onwards to a slightly more aggressive cam set up and a 10.5T hotside.

The Evo VII and non-MR VIII will require uprated cams to achieve their full potential and even Evo VIII MRs and IXs can benefit from fitting more aggressive cams, although they aren't necessarily required for stage 1 especially on the IX with its MIVEC ability. The Evo VIII 260 struggles to reach over 360 bhp on its milder stock cams.

The fitting of the cams really goes hand in hand with fitting a larger hotside on the pre VIII MR models as the larger hotside allows the full impact of the more aggressive cams to be used.

Generally speaking, aftermarket cams with lower duration than 272 do not need uprated springs. However, extremely aggressive cams, such as the Piper range will need uprated springs due to their highly aggressive ramp rate.

All std parts are capable of 380 bhp roughly

But because it's the 4 engine your internals are the weak spot. As anything you can only go as far as the weakest link. So by adding 1000cc injectors, 272 cams, s205 turbo, etc it won't make a difference because the engine will go POP before you achieve anything.

Stick with stg 1 mods and your capable of 330 ish at 1.2-1.3 bar. Much more and you'll need new engine before uprating any other parts.....

ive got all that - so im better off now looking for an evo 6-7 engine ?

6,7,8 engine yes

Will get around 50-60 more bhp than the 4 engine coz you can run more boost

After that you need internal upgrades. And no point uprating the 4 because the block needs new oil ways to prevent crank walk
