If its a 4 I would be lookin at a stronger 5 or 6 engine crank walk is common due to earlier design. Make it your project now mate grab a later engine and pop it in cheaper than rebuilding the current

A design fault with the block and thrust washers on the Evo iV crank means they suffer with crank walk.

It is not repairable by any means so unfortunately the bottom end is now scrap.

As Craig said your best bet is to track down a later Evo V/ VI engine :)

Is the wiring from the evo 4 body fit to the evo 5 engine or need modifications?

Its a straight swap. You just need the block and head, the rest will transfer over from your 4's old engine.

I am buying a 5 engine and tranny, I just drop it in and hook up the wires or I need to take some stuff off the 4 engine?

See what you get with it. Compare it to your old engine and anything the new one doesn't have, transfer across.
