Can i change the turbo WITHOUT having to take off the exhaust manifold? basically just take the turbo off from underneath?

Cheers,

Mark

Yes, but its more complicated and fiddly as you have to remove the entire downpipe to get it down, and may have to remove the radiator.

Yes... but my question was can i do it without removing the manifold!!

last time the turbo had to come off was when i had removed the original manifold to change it to the 4 branch buddyclub one and a bolt sheared... this time i was hoping not to have to remove the manifold hence the question!!

doesnt matter really as hopefully i can sell it and be done with it all.

u seem fed up with the car mate, if you have put a new manifold on u should be ok with the bolts as they should be nice and fresh. unless you got car lift to put it in the air i would say workin from the top would be better rather than layin on the ground fiddling

Im absolutely sick of it mate!!! Ive done no miles in it.. really looked after it in the time ive had it... done no more than 200 miles and now i have this bill to contend with... i have lost any love for the car i might have had and im sick of the sight of it!!

Yes i suppose the bolts will be fresh ... i just didnt want to take off the mainfold all over again!!

I cant afford to fix it anyway and i cant really ask my mate to help me with the turbo again as it took ages last time hence i just hope i can sell it!!

I might even break it for spares.

Im so pissed off with it its as much as i can do to stop myself going into the garage and taking a hammer to it... seriously!!
