question about applying for v5

right heres the thing............ we have a little berlingo van at work that belongs to some charity company or something, they bought it in a state, intirior trashed, no battery, clutch gone bit of rust, all around neglected basically. and they know my dads friend, so my dad agreed to collect the van and keep it at the workshop while he underwent the repairs. now this was a month before i started working for my dad and here i am 8 mopnths later with a van takin up space we could quite frankly do with using, they never contacted us since and we cant get hold of anyone, so no work was done ect.

now storage alone we charge £100 a month so i doubt they will pay that. now is it possible for us to apply for the log book and take ownership of the shed, and that way we can either scrap it, or i personally want it as a fill in to sell on use myself or as another parts van.

anyone know where we stand

V62 form craig and £25! BUT it can Take upto 10 weeks + as the dvla have to write to the the registered previous owner and you are not guaranted to get the log book/V5 even though the name on the V5 may not actually be the owner as all the V5 states is the Actual person responsible for taxing and paying fine's on the vehicle:hm:

i've done this only with a car i bought

applied for a V5
they said they need to write to the previous owner an can take 21 days

i rang on the 10th day just to see if there was any word
they said if no word by the friday 13th a new book would be issued

so took in round 14 days to process

well its been sitting here 8 months so a few more weeks wont hurt lol. £25 dont sound too bad for it. yeah i know they write to owner but if they dont reply surely they will send it to me if there isnt any objections. if the owner rears their head im only going to give them an invoice for 8 months storage, which they wont want to pay so ill offer them a deal to give me the log book, im fed up of people takin advantage of my dads good nature.
