i have a slight problem, everytime the turbo kicks in it over boosts well past 1.2 bar and then starts to misfire, any one know why

What car 4,5,6,7,8,9,10?

Would normally indicate knackered actuator...

its an Evo 4

ive seen actuators on ebay between 30 - 70 quid. would it be ok to get one that goes to 1.5bar (22psi)

I'll stick with knackerd actuator assumption.

Take it off and see if you can blow through it?

i'll do that 2mora wen its light, it does sound louder wen the turbo spools up and kicks in, sounds like an airplane

You'll have 1 of 2 with the actuator ....

Either damaged and leaking, therefore you can blow through it whern you attach a pipe to it and try(this is more common)

Or its stuck closed, you won't be able to blow through it and it will be very very difficult to pull on the bar to open it.
