Hi guys an garls,,

I have an evo 4 running evo 5 ecu, injectors, walboro, evo 7 block with forged piston and conrods, afr wideband etc....

I've wired and plumbed in my gizzmo ibc to find that I can't raise or lower the boost levels and believe me..I've follwed the idiots guide on it lol..I've fitted a new 1.2bar actuator and preloaded it as well...my solenoid has vacuum pipes going from port 3 (middle one) to the compressor housing and port 2 to the wastegate actuator. The power source is fine because the ibc lights up and gives me real time boost.. The ibc is plumed into the inlet manifold nipple that I drilled and tapped..every time I boost full throttle it hits 1bar every time and holds steady, never drops. I try and raise the duty by 5 every time right up until 80 and still the car hits 1bar bang on. I've noticed that the solenoid isn't getting warm after boosting it? I've checked the wiring and I'm getting continuity between the wires from the plug at the ibc and the solenoid. But the voltage is so so low coming through to the solenoid (around 0.010-0.050 volts) is this normal?? I'm staring to think it might be the head unit (ibc)...has anyone had this problem or know how to test the ibc voltage values etc...I've had this ibc my supra and it worked fine..I've just bought another solenoid and fitted it...still the same. Advice is needed as its annoying as f**k that I can't go by roughly 280 bhp with a forged engine !!! :-@

Cheers
Stevie :)

Dump the IBC and get it mapped on the ecu with the new 3 port solenoid

I was thinking about that but I want different settings for low boost and high boost that I can change in seconds ...I've noticed my wastegate flaps in the housing are rattling...if the seats are cracked , could this cause this problem I'm having?? Thanks for the quick reply

It could well be a boost leak and every time it gets to 1 bar it escapes  I had a strange one when I had a dodgy temp sender my car wouldn't boost above 1 bar,I changed it and it went back up to 1.3 without changing anything on my apexi avcr

Eliminate the boost controller. Plumb just the wastegate.
Take car for drive and see if it goes over 1 bar. Come on throttle slowly.
If it goes over 1 then your turbo etc are fine and it's your controller.
