Price for a full detail?

I'm wanting to get my car detailed and wondered what the going rate for an evo was?

Thanks geof, maybe you could answer me this - im getting my arches rolled/ sealed and a dent in the rear quarter repaired so having the rear quarters repainted along with the rear bumper as i've never been happy with the slight difference in bumper to body colour, also having the carbon spoiler blade and carbon vortex re-lacquered for £600 and then he said he would detail it for £400 does this sound a fair price and for that what would you say the detail involved?
I ask because don't want to get ripped off and don't know that much about what a detail involves!

Its actually craig at distinctive detail in sheffield as i have seen his work on many forums and comes high reccomended.

Ha ha would be nice so you think thats a fair price then? I was happy but then mates kept saying "thats expensive" etc and just made me have a few doubts on the price, have no doubts about craigs workmanship as that seems top notch.

Just to be clear what would you expect of a detail for £400, as in whats to be done?

Well its going to his mates bodyshop first to get everything sorted and painted then back to his but he said roughly a week, maybe slighty longer.

I know someone who does it for £150 inside and out, takes all the chemicals off the car and also clay bars the whole car, waxes and polishes it. I will try and get some pictures up ( he does top end cars like bentleys )

he never did a very good job on this Bentley :shock:

I would have thought average prices for an enhancement should set you back around £150 and a full detail around £250 to £300.
There are people who charge a little bit more and than a select few who charge substantially more. It all boils down to what you think you're willing to pay.
If I was paying anymore than average prices, I'd want some protection on the car that offers longetivity as opposed to just a show finish, something by gtechnic or similar.
Having said all that, Distinctive's detailing work is excellent so you should walk away with a smile - and at the end of the day, isn't that what matters?

i had mine done with Russ@Midlands car care in walsall mine was £200 for a enhancment in a day but he does offer a full correction at more cost and keeps overnight but fully insured. really recommed him hes done tons of cars, you see his work on detailing world or on facebook "Midlands car Care". phill

Craig did it and im very very happy with all the work, top job and top bloke will definitely be using him in future.
Ended up only being £220 for a single stage enhancement as he said the paint work was good any way then an extra £30 for the interior, so the rest ended up being for the painting, arch rolling, re-laquering etc.
