Just gna cl them in a bit and find out where u getting yours done need to sort out the problem with the elbow heard k & n is the best induction kit sum1 told me that they can get a cone and mod it up to fit on the car £100. What do you think

The M's filter by K&N is the best one and has proven track record. I would get a quote from few places before anything pal. Have ya tried el? I take all my evos to him. Why all the fuss about elbows?

The problem is not that everyone has an opinion.

The problem is that most opinions are a load of tosh!

The M's filter by K&N has a clinically proven track history and it comes with a million mile warranty to boot.

If Performance Filters were rubbish then they would have become obsolete a very long time ago.

I suggest that you follow Dave's advice and get some quotes for some specialists in regards to what you want to achieve buddy.

You will find that they will suggest similar modifications.

Speak to MA developments.

I am looking for around 400/400 myself. I am told this can be done on standard manifold with a full 3" exhaust system, induction kit, 255L fuel pump and a re-map.

So I suggest this is a good starting point.

If you looking for 400+ then that's where the big bucks start to kick in;
uprated turbo, rod, pistons, injectors, quality tubualr manifold etc.

Speak to MA developments, tell them what you are aiming for and they will put a proposition your way.

In short though you should be able to get to 400bhp or very close on standard turbo and internals.

As for Elbow, I have been looking into this too. It's just a question of what comes with the DP, either mated to the original elbow or an uprated one included. I think it is a little restrictive but ask MA what they recommend.

When I get round to doing mine I'll let you know what was suggested to me.

With regards to induction kits the Evo does not suffer problems ! If your worried about it then leave the airbox in if not the hks mushroom shaped filter is very popular and makes a cool noise

Thnks guys just obtained couple of quotes but one guy sugested that the induction kits can mke problems with air mass and also told me that I'm probably beter off without turbo elbow as they can be problems with the bolts I dnt know? One quote involved an modular elbow and mongoose exhaust system are they any good?

Turbo technics do a proper cast 3" elbow and it's a nice job but not cheap at £200

Modular is a good route to take and im sure Antony@indigo-gt has some custom made ones for sale. Send him a pm

Just spoke to ma the price for the service cambelt including all the oils and plugs 675 I thought it's a bit much prob go with Ajec racing get the upgrade done there. Normally use steve hill but for some reason there saying I can only get 350bhp with the mods am doing dnt know why alot of places saying 380 bhp all the way just with decat and fuel pump change and the remap does n e one know why? How can sum people say 380 and others say 350? What do you think?

BHP figures are always an estimate when trying to sell a package.

No one can give you exact bhp figures, they are only estimates. And as always they will always give you the bigger figure ..... Its not common for people to give a conservative figure...
