Hi guys, i am running an apexi fc with handcontroller MAFless on my evo 5 running 1.5 bar. The hand controller was just in the glove box when i bought it and iassumed it didnt work but after tracing it back to the ecu it had just came unplugged, happy days!!. So now its working lol... Was intrested in the knock values, took it for a quick boost and the knock readout says nothing... So just checking to see if this is just because its not detecting any knock at all or theres a sensor problem  be nice to know its all running good if it isnt knocking at all

Heres the pic. Cheers all :awesome:

I had one of those in my old scoob

I think there's some better screens that show more accurately what's happening

Sure I found some instructions on the net before....... Yep I did lol

Jolly Green Monster

At the bottom of the help part is a really good instruction/help page that let's you get the most from it

Hope that helps

You are the man in the know mister :)

gave it another run peaking at just over 1.5 bar got to the top of third gear that's all I had room for lol

gota knock value of 13 injectors at 82 % ive done a little reading and people say values of under 40 on knock are ok but all engines vary, would you say these values are ok????
thanks :)

Looks ok if I'm honest but I'm no expert mate.

Ideally want a mapper on the case like Simon@NTS he on here, and does all my work.

13 is ok but I'm sure mappers aim to get under 10. They also when mapping gather info from the whole run so they will be scanning through 100's of different readings taken each second (not entirely sure if that exactly what happens) looking for peak figures.

The hand controller will only give you a peak figure, so the rest of the run could have seen no where near 13 the rest could have been less than ten.... But the controller will just say the highest number.

A good way to check with a run, is to do 3 accelerations keeping the car in 3rd, 3rd gear 3k rpm floor it to 7k, brake back to 3k, floor it to 7k, brake back to 3k floor it to 7k again, slow down/stop and check peaks

Then possibly the same run but on the last one go 3rd gear then 4th gear to 7k rpm

This puts the car under some different types of cycles especially when barking then accelerating again that will throw up any high peaks

If you have anything daft get it to a mapper to have a mess with :D

Gave it another boost on way home from work 3 runs in3rd like you said the max I got was 9 on the knock so im happy with that then :) like u say ill just keep an eye on it if it does start going high, which I doubt it will cos ill leave the setup alone until I upgrade stuff, ill take to a mapper :) and thanks mate you always seem to have the answers I need!! ;)
