Turn off ur main stop cock and turn all ur taps on and drain the tank down then u can have a good poke about and c where it's coming from without making it worse

Stain marks and wet on the out side would be a good start and rad weld? In the water ur gonna wash in and brush ur teeth in no thanx if it's on one of the connectors u may be able to put a bigger one in it's place but if it's split there's nothing u can do

the rad weld was a joke :)
I've traced a few runs on the outside but not really stopped the water appearing so think its a hole behind the insulation :(

this is a picture of the culprit if anyone can help identify it I might be able to get a replacement and swap them over :)
It looks like it has two small seperate tanks at the top I think one is to start warming up the cold for the main hot water and the other is the header tank for the radiators, but I could be wrong

It's called a fortic tank the top is just a storage tank to keep the hot water tank full

And it's indirect that will help if ur looking to buy 1 ur self do ur self a favour wipe ur fingers around every pipe where they meet the tank Coz these tanks very rarely split and as for me saying u may be able to put bigger tappings in u can't on these tanks

Yeah all connections are needed and if u go sealed look up mega flows on google u would want about 200 ltr indirect but u need at least a 22mm main inlet to ur property and they have safety blow off valves that need to terminate outside would be cheaper and easier to change like for like to be honest but up to ur self also with a sealed system u get mains pressure hot water but if u have power showers the will no longer work because they don't like high pressure and I'm guessing u have no cold water storage tanks in ur loft which tells me ur on mains cold through out the house already oh and yeah plumber by trade lol

do you know if this model is still available? I don't have a power shower and mains cold through out no cold tank. I though if I changed to the sealed system then I could fit a shower from the mains hot and cold. But I know changing like for like would be easier.
I would ultimately like to replace the boiler with a combi one so I can get rid of the tank all together but can't really afrord it at the moment :(
Do you know where the best place to get a tank from would be?
