Hi new I'm new to the forum Not sure if I should be posting here but im in need of help!
*I brought a*evo*5*in white looks in great condition drove it 120 miles from were I brought it.It ran fine that was 2 weeks ago have wanted I evo for 14 years, now I have one but it has just started miss firing!! I changed*spark plugs*and it started miss firing put thre old plugs back in still miss firing brought newcoil*and leads still missfiring any ideas? ?*

When you say misfiring, when? On idle? Under load? On over run? Hot? Cold?

When it starts up ticks over sounds ok then rev it a little bit miss fires, I took it up the road a little way and sounds like a scubby!! The injecters are reading 0.00 ohms witch means there all knacked I think but she runs I sure all the injecters would f**k up at once could they???

The car starts - wont be your injectors. I'd be thinking coil packs to start with.

Cheers for reply buddy ive put in new coil packs and leads still no joy, checking for leaks in pipes now any other ideas?

I put bp high octane in do you think that could course it? Up date is plugs set to .60 no luck, tested for spark all good, pulled 1 lead at a time while she was running and they all make engine miss fire more harsh when it ticks over you cant tell of miss fire really gwt revs to 2000 andshe soubds like a scubby!!! I cant have that itd and evo!!

Gap the plugs to 5 instead of 6 what boost it running? What plugs u put in?
Br8es for anything over standard boost but u will have to change them every service

Coilpacks/leads back in the right positions ? 1&4 off one pack 2&3 off the other

Yeah just have a go and post on here it may give us a clue as to what's at fault as it could really be a number of different things that are causing the problems.

Take a picture of the engine bay, it might be something not obvious to you but maybe to us.
