trying to upload photos but it just keeps saying failed??

anyone able to help had the same problem???

You want to upload them to photobucket or similar and then download to here.

I have had problems all morning trying to get pics up but have decided to leave it until tonight or something.

How big are the pictures?
2MB is the max upload size, if they are bigger than that it will fail.

Chop .11 off the image and you should be ok

Well a few people have moaned, sorry commented, so ill recompile php and up the limit.
But for now its a case of drop it down a bit.

I was going to post some photos on here today but reading the replies I think I am sure going to need some help here lol!
So how I am ever going to reduce the size on the photos on my desk top?

hey, i know its been driving me mad for hours

but i got there in the end

right what i had to do was.

go into my pics on my computer.

go to file at the top left corner and go to properties.

you will now have a window pop up with general and summary on the general one what i did was change what you open the pics with to microsoft office picture manager.

now it will open all pics in a diff setting

once you have pic up on screen, left click the mouse and go to edit picture you will then get a task bar down the right hand screen you now have to go to resize.

change predifined size to 640x480 large

Well being the super star admin that I am I have recompiled PHP so the upload size is not higher. Everyone should be able to upload images now. Dont forget to check your image resolution though.

Will I need to follow Rossy's instruction still or will it be able to take 3MB and above, I am blonde you know lol!

If the images are 3MB you will be able to upload, but if they are really really big they will go off people screens.

Bit more techie shizzle.
The result is upload what ever you want size wise. If you upload as an attachment the software will downsize it (top photo),if you link to it there is some client side stuff which will resize it in the browser (bottom image). Dont forget large files will still need to be downloaded and so can be slow for people with slow internet.
