You need to pull it apart to do that, which you need to do PROPERLY or you'll find it fall apart into your engine. Sodium blasting is where its at

Well he did say it could be soda blasted or chemical dip he said he will see what it's like when I take it down

Looks wicked mate, I sheered off 2 of the bolts for that heat sheild so my mani is naked at the mo but ill get another soon nice fancy one in the new year I think

Ok after seeing the pics of every1's jazzed up engine bays and then seeing my paint flaking dull bay decide to to do some painting

So picked up some halfords engine pain to day and gonna start with the manifold cover

but would it be of any benefit if I painted the manifold it's self.

Or is it just a wast of time and paint?

In regard to the mani cover, I'd recommend just grabbing a nice new stainless steel one.. Can be had for £20-£30 and really brightens the bay mate

I did think of getting an aftermarket one but not too keen on the shiny shiny Crome lol

Seen a few brushed Crome effect but a bit expensive for what it is.
