Overboost and engine rattle

I took my car to northampton last week as some guy was interested in it. Upon meeting the idiot he wanted to test drive it. He thrashed the shite out of it. Now ive got oil squirting out the dv. When i boot it up to 5k revs the car jolts like ive hit a wall and the boost gauge goes to 2 bar. And now ive got a nasty rattle when i rev it and let it go to idle.
Wtf has this idiot done to my car ??

Well for starters why did you not stop him the 1st time he started driving like a twat!!

Over boost because the boost controller and possibly the actuator is ****ed.
Rattle because your bearings may have gone...
Basically the engine is ****ed and the bloke should be paying for it

Oh dear, I would start by sendin the mob round to his house if I'm honest, sounds like he has finished your car off for you, I would say it would have gone in time anyways but to be fair they should be able to take a good hooning about, unless he was just driving everywhere in 2nd.

So i basically need a new bottom end?
Boost controllers and actuator are cheap enough to replace.
The block said that evo engines are meant to be ragged. But as i told him they are meant to be ragged if they are built for it. And even the rally cars are limited to 5-6k revs.
What do i need to make a stroker engine or fix mine lol .

I sent gary an email. Hes bloody good but awfully expensive and funding is tight as the moment. I might just rip the engine out and rebuild it using forged parts bit by bit. Or failing that ditch the car lol

Is the engine rattle coming from inside the engine or is it heat shield?
Best to take it to someone to give you a opinion?

sounds like youve poped a vacuum hose off and your hitting fuel cut

All vacuums are on and fine :s

checked the operation of the wastegate, what was boost set at originally?

Right so you need to check, wastegate, boost controller, any loose vac pipes

Last time I had oil squirting out the dump valve was on my old scoob right before it popped, it had lost compression on three cylinders so oil was passing by and into the breathers that recirculated then sprayed out the dump valve :wtf:

Hope it's not anything like that. If that guy had done that to my car I'd have made him pull over and walk home!
