Over revving when changing gear ( throttle hang)

Hi guys my car has developed a slight problem went out for a blast earlier and every time at change gear at high revs I'm getting this over rev it's like the revs don't drop quick enough when I put my clutch in and when I bring my clutch back out its throwing me forward coz the revs are too high which is highly annoying has anyone experienced any similar problems evo 8 jdm by the way

Has anything changed on the car lately? Sounds like it's sucking air in from somewhere, would recommend doing a boost check.

No mate had it mapped a few months ago but been fine since then but it also revs funny on tickover sometimes and almost cuts out

Defo sounds like an air leak or even a lambda
