Hi Y'all, Ive been into Supra's for many years i currently run an 1800HP Road legal Drag supra in Street Eliminator - street legal drag racing series and the JDS Drag Pro series.

I am looking at an evo 4 or maybe five, At the moment i only have around £4k to spend and would like something that is BPU around 330+hp for fun.

I have found a nice Orange one that really appeals to me as orange is my racing colour, KTM bike colour and drag car colour!

Trying to seek out the previous owner of this orange creation as the current seller seems to know nowt! any help, clues and pointers grealty appreciated amd of course i WOULD love an evo 8 or X but have just sold my 900hp MINT 6 speed Supra and fancy something a little less stressful to leave parked up ANYWHERE!

The orange Evo 4 is advertised as 330BHP but no explanation as to how? hence my quest to find out more

Thanks in advance
Stu

well the 4 engine was the other way around, this is either a 5 or 6 engine as they are the same, the 4 suffered a common engine fault.

other way round? :hm: not having a dig m8 just saying thats all evo 1 2 3 were the other way round mukka

this is a pic of my very first red evo 4 i had with a evo 4 engine in as u can see its the same as whats in the pic above so u will find it is a evo 4 engine

to get 330 u r talking stage 1 mods, fuel pump, later injectors , 5 or 6 ecu 3por soli and a remap.... but if its running a standard evo 4 engine think id stay away m8 suffer from crank-walk better spec evo 4's out there with later engines in m8

Can we all stop scare mungerring about the 4 engine and the crank walk. Plenty out there that are still running perfectly fine.
As for the engine being the wrong way round. Think about it!! You'd have to swap everything in the engine bay round including gearbox and diff. Wouldn't happen lol

This has been for sale for a long time,he was asking 4.5k to start with. I think it was on some local car site or something,it's been on eBay and swapz for a while too. I'll try and find the posts on it for you ;)

WOW thanks to everyone for all of the informative posts, It is strange how it has been for sale for so long! TBH the colour appeals to me more than anything else which is silly i know! According to wikepedia Evo history the main differences between 4 and 5 is the flared body and re mappable ECU. I do much prefer the flared body but originally i was looking for Bang per Buck and the 4 for around £3k seemed to fit the bill. Still really keen to know about the mods on this Orange 4 as it seems the previous owner loved and cherished her, Owned for many years and only selling as just had kids (That ol chestnut lol) but Maybe true?

The respray looks good quality so that would have cost over £2000, She also has Evo 6 full leather interior and Dash/Dials and 17" wheels.

Do they do an aftermarket body package for the 4 to make it more like the 5?

Thanks in advance great info guys :)

tbh m8 i wouldnt mess with the body of the evo 4 ive had 3 evo 4's now and id say they look spot on as they r

my red one with standard front bumper with angel head lights

my silver one with god now's what front bumper and angel head lights "didnt like this bumper at all and was about to replace it back to a standard one but some clown pulled out infront of me and wrote her off"

And now my current white evo 4 with full standard front bumper and head-lights ect

the only thing i would like is the carbon diffuser for the rear end but as fare as i no they only do them for the 5 6 ect

Evo 4-6 never came with leather seats , think they just have bucket recaro's
The later 7-9 came with half leather I think also

The only way you can turn the 4 into a 5 is by buying the arches an bits from a breaker, loads of them about

Respray was only outside as engine bay wasn't done, doubt door shuts or boot was done either.

I'd be questioning what was done to see that power though as all looks standard including the brakes

Hi Guys, Sorry for late reply i seemed to have not ticked the correct box to get the email update of the threads! I think its sorted now though ;-)

Thanks for the great pics of the evo 4 i do like them and those pics have deffo helped me to decide that a four is worth it and like said i can always make it look like a 5/6 later on if i want to. Main thing is about condition and quality of modifications.

Im off thursday to view the orange one, Still no further info received? the seller is pretty useless and its no longer listed anywhere so i cannot even copy a link doh! I am dealing with the dealers son who seems pretty vague too! if anyone knows of any previous threads relating to this car i would very much appreciate it please.
Yes the brakes look standard, so does the engine but i am hoping the son has found the apparently mountain of paperwork that goes with the car tomorrow.
Thanks again in advance
Stu
