opperation clean up

well as it was a lovely day yesterday i thought i would do some more to the car it has almost been 12 months since its been of the road i was planning on doing a 5 conversion but decieded im wanting to keep it as a 4 now and get it looking as nice as possible i have the engine being delivered in 2 weeks which is a 5 engine with 45k on it which will be going down to norris and the gang to have a long rod conversion done to it..

so i decieded to take of the rear bumper today to give it a clean up behind i know no ones going to see it but i knew it needed doing so it had to be done..

what was involved

well first i had to remove the bumper when i done this i found about 14 years worth of dirt and grime..

i then removed the rear lights to find this growing behind them.l..

i then started tackling it all with a cloth,hot soapy water and plenty of elbow greese..
once i was happy i then moved on and gave it a wax and a polish all in all it took about 6 hours of hard scrubbing but i am happy with how it looks now no more dirt and grime

i forgot to take pics of behind the lights but i will take them back of and get some i also got my metal polish out and give the back box a good clean as it was looking sorry for it's self and it has come up like new..

i also give the back lights a wax as they were looking abit worse for ware..

thanks for looking i think it looks 100% better now

cheers it will be worth it in the end as it will prolong the life of the car as there are alot of 4's out there that are rotton to the core:hm:

Suggestion get yourself some all purpose cleaner to clean stains like that it is one of the most versatile products in the detailers armoury
It can be used for cleaning door shuts, engine bay cleaning, arc and wheel cleaning, interior cleaning loads of other stuff as well. 10-1 is the normal mix for the job you have just carried out, but if needed can be diluted to a stronger mix of 4-1. Get yourself some Megs APC or Autosmart G101 and save on the elbow grease
