Fair play the don't want unauthorised advertising, don't blame them really, but I reckon removing PMs is the beginning of the end for the MLR. Just waiting to see the non-Lancer section flooded with "FAO xxxxx" threads because people can't PM others.
Already seen a few threads like that popping up, and it's just gonna get worse. If they introduced a lower teir of membership where you pay say £10 or £15 for forum access only it would be fine, but for those (like me) who never once used any of the other things you get with membership, then £35 is a bit much. Even the MLR mag just got glanced through and binned/recycled.
Also, I love the folk saying "it's only 67p a week". Well I really want to ask them, do they go and pay into every single charity that want £2 a month?? It's only 50p a week.....:whistling:
I don't doubt there will be a few who will pay into such charities, but the ones saying it's only 67p a week are prob not the ones who do so.
