A quick guide to an easy oil change!
- Start the car and run for 10 mins at idle.
- Undo the sump nut (17mm off the top of my head)
- Drain oil. (make sure you have enough space for 7L of oil - there isnt 7L but it gives some room to not spill
)
- Once oil is drained remove filter by unscrewing counter clockwise. Tip: screwdrives stuck through can help if its very tight and you dont have the proper tools (which are a couple of quid so buy one!). Be prepaird for oil to dribble out of here.
- Fill new filter with new oil.
- Put the new filter in remembering to put a film of oil on the rubber seal on the oil filter to ensure it seals. Remember tights tight and bust is fooked.
- Clean sump plug. Replace (often a good idea to use a new copper washer too) and again dont over tighten!
- Fill with oil to dipstick indicated level.
- Run car and check for leaks.
- Check and top up (oil always finds hidey holes)
