hi my name is matt and i have a sexy evo 4 that im in the process of rebuilding
(massive crank walk prob )

ive always been a jap man having had a few celica gt4s a s13 sx and an sti scooby (got rid of that to get my evo lmao)

any way nice to meet every one and hope can come to some meets if i evre get the evo finished lol

Welcome along mate good to have you aboard, any pics? Sorry to hear about the crank walk are you rebuilding the 4 block or going for a later engine?

gonna rebuild the 4 block i think as its got e7 pistons liners oil pump and a few other bits lol and 1 of the cleanest heads ive ever seen on a car just need a crank and bearings

That's different I kind of like it, more pics the crank on the 4 engine is the weak spot and also in some cases very unreliable the best cheapest and also tunablility a later engine would be best, up to you really. The head is the same up to the 8 so you could get the bottom end from a later and use your head

just looking to get it running at the mo not to fussed with that much power wanna get a bigget engine in it at some point just need it goin lol plus cant find any decent bottom ends that dont cost a fortune

my advice to you is scrap the block cos thats the part with the design fault. get yourself a block from a later car cos you wont cure the crank walk. the fault is in the block itself
