Hi everyone,
Firstly just like to say what great forum . Full of good info . Must admit I don't own a evo ' but a friend of mine has a evo 4 and I seemed to have inherited the
Job of keeping her on the road for the last 3 years ' I've put a few mods on her that he felt he needed . Brakes / poly bushes ect . But I've always wanted to know what made this missile tick ' at last I got my wish . He came in to work last week and said engine sounds funny ' at last yep spun shells,end float the lot so I've got engine/box out I was going to sort the problem out line bore block and rods brought back to spec ect . Until reading this forum I didn't know evo 4 engine had a inherent fault . Don't know if block could be modified to take better thrust bearings . So I said you have to sorce a evo 5/6 engine block . But a fool and his money are Easley parted and he was going to hit the b.i.n. button for a evo 4 being sold as a 5 engine . And that didn't happen coz of info on here
So thanks to everyone . Anyone got a evo block/engine with a code not starting with T ..
