Hi,
I am looking at buying a 1.6 mitsubishi lancer but was wondering if i would be able to put an evo front end on the lancer?

Also the back end, lights, tail gate and spoiler would i be able to swap this to an evo aswell

The reason i am asking this is because i am unable to get insured on an evo but want the looks

Ill be honest pal I have seen what your proposing and it doesn't go too well, gotta think about things like arches are wider on evos so the wheels have to sit right etc. there is a fair few things that are different iirc. Do some saving i would say and it will make it all that much better when you get one, or try specialist insurers like pace ward see what they come up with.

Yeah as above.. Save up a bit, it will be cheaper to insure an early Evo, like I said I'm 21, and I'm relatively cheap .

Plus, you may have the "looks" of an Evo, but you'll always want the power & feel of an Evo, do a little saving as said, and get the real deal. As mentioned above also, it will take a lot of work to make it look like a half decent job.

What would be needed to do the conversion? at the moment i am just waying up my options.

You'd need a donor evo and a LOT of time on your hands, not to mention very deep pockets. :shock:

Go onto the coltuk forum and you'll find a couple of guys that have converted colts into mini evo track cars
