Have you got a link to the sale? Sounds a good price to be fair,

I'm no expert at IDing cars, but I'd check that actually *is* an MR before parting with your cash. Not sure if they came in that colour, and it doesn't have the MR badges. Check the VIN starts CT9A 030 and not CT9A 020.

Also although it could have been sprayed but the spoiler sides should be black. Easiest way to id apart from vin no is if there are ridges in the roof

thanks for the advice guys wouldn't have noticed any of that probably! is 80000miles to much or am I just being paranoid?! I've heard horror stories about ppl buying evos with less miles just for the engine to all but blow up 1 month later!

Further to my previous post it seems the MR does come in that colour  As said though, the spoiler uprights should be black and it should have MR badges. Being an MR makes about a grand or two difference in the value of the car so you really do have to make sure it's an MR.

80k on the clock isn't great, obviously, but they should go on to 100k+. It won't need explaining that the more miles the greater chance for wear and tear, which is why it's important to verify it's an MR. A non-MR VIII with 80k is probably only worth 6 or 7k.

Something else I forgot to mention, but again it should be self-explanatory....if you buy an 80k car it's only going to last you a few years maybe. If you buy lower mileage then you can keep the car longer. 9k is a chunk to spend on an 80k car....
