Hi i have just joined and could be an evo owner very shortly.I seen a very very tidy evo4 for sale and the owner is a member on here, a very nice chap so I thought i would join up.

ok your loss the car is worth the same as your evo just because its not got any bids doesnt mean there is anything wrong with the car apart from the front bumper and its an easy repiar not worth new bumper? but its your choice hope you find a buyer.

Ok, so you offered me a straight swap?
Assumed you had no for sale page. You gave me 3 pics of the car(ok they may not of been great pics) After all the info i gave you and truthfully told you the 'cons' of the car you failed to tell me you have it up on ebay at £2750 reserve not met. The front bumper is cracked. Yes it'll need a new bumper sometime soon. My next car was to be a long term car. The crack WILL get bigger, i build cars for a living and know alot about damage repairs etc. the front bumper would NEED to be replaced if i had it. My dad owns a lower spec mondeo and too had a crack like that! 2 years later the whole bumper is a mess from the one small crack.

Today i met my friend. who you've been pestering for sometime about his car. Offering him £2,900 when he said no, you offered him £3,000 as a final offer.

He told me how long you've been trying to shift the car for. what its actually worth(He too knows about cars)

What you've been asking for the car. A damn sight less than what i want for my car.

I bent over backwards trying to help you out. Then you get like this????

Telling me that not having your car is my loss!! think again. You ARE very desperate for an Evo IV, so therefore its your loss!

Also like to point out you said you'd try not to push me in swapping

I chose not to after finding out this info. Had you told me about the damaged bumper and said your car plus at least £1,000 on top we may of got somewhere. Lesson, in future tell the truth, as it'll soon come out.

PS i saved you a journey and half a day. Reason: i'd of turnt the car down for not knowing it was damaged.

I told you in plenty of time and in good faith my reason why i said no.

Fair enough.It was for a swap deal and you would have seen every bit of my car befor you agreed, is that not correct?And do I have to tell every seller where its advertised? is that standard practice?And if the bumper is repaired corretly it shouldnt need replaced as I too know people in the accident repair.Lots of cars trake time to sell more so big engined cars in this climate.Just because I have asked less for my car doesnt mean its worth less than £3500.And i have only replied to the emails that you sent me so cant see why your reacting like this, I also have hidden nothing and not pushed you on agreeing a sale.I mean for god sake you would have been able to check my car over!!!!!!!!

Thats fair not arguing that point but cant see how you can value my car at £2600? a mondeo st220 with 70k fsh tax and mot dream on try and find me one! And i have not lied to you at any point and thats what the meet was for to check over each others car and then take it from there unless im missing something thats how it usually works.

Exactly! i told you in good faith i no longer wanted to do the deal. Im sure after agreeing the deal was ago ahead, you'd be annoyed if you turnt up on my doorstep with a damaged front bumper. And all i said was no. I tried to save wasting you time. Seems like i was wrong.

As mentioned, why didnt you tell me the car was damaged. Also from a valeting point you said to someone else its been polished/ valeted etc. when ive been told if so, its a very bad job. Please do stop going on. ive told you now. Ive done my research and declined the swap. Move on to another person.

Agreed. Had my front bumper been cracked if of told the buyer before getting to his house or them getting to mine. Just tried to save wasting his time, yet he felt the need to tell my its my loss.:whistling:

Surely he would see any fault/damage/issue at the meet! jesus this is getting little out of hand.I will leave this forum and apologise for any upset I have caused.Thanks everyone for your comments and I will take them on board.

i think you'd be mad any way mate. But that's me. I think your find most people are like this, .how offen do you/some one buy's a car and over the next few week's find thing's wrong with it. He should of told you the truth but some time's it the right thing to do some time's it aint.
