Newbie from Norfolk

Hi All,

Just wanted to introduce myself.

My names Beckie, I'm 24 and like fast Jap cars.

I am on the hunt for an Evo 6, not fussed on it being a TME but don't want an RS. Have got some money on its way and have decided that I want a nice car of my own to drive.

Any hints and tips about buying would be great.

The topic of what to look out for has been covered to death. If you do a quick search in the bar above, I'm sure you'll find shed loads of threads on the subject.

That way you can take a look whenever you have some free time on your hands.

Welcome to the forum.

As had been mentioned, plenty out there if you search, but I'm sure that's exactly what your doing.

Go for the well cared for examples, you may have to pay a little over the odds but it's worth it in the long run.

For example mine was never run in winter and undercoated with clear underseal so You could see everything underneath.

When I came to buying mine I put a "wanted" thread up with my budget, sat back and waited for cars to come in. There's lots of owners out there that need a little nudge to sell and can't bring theirselves to write a forsale post.
Main interest came for the darkside MLR forum.

Ha thanks. Couldn't quite make it out.

You wouldn't believe some of the cars offered! All excellent examples. Ended up with my 5 which Sqeakyclean used to own along with a couple other MLR members.

The guy I bought it from (Ant) just couldn't bring himself to write a forsale thread, he regrets selling to this day
Nothing's really gone amiss with the car except turbo change and my obsession with buying stuff for it :twisted:

Apart from that, the V is one of my favourite cars of all time.

It has the most aggresive styling of it's era, utilising every aspect of WRC guidelines in general!

It was the first car to go to the limitations available so it really was a big deal when it was launched.

Shame it's not white, but hey, that's just my opinion....
