Hi All

Came across your forum and it looks like the place to be if your an Evo owner :)

Last weekend bought my first Evo, after looking for one for a while and test driving several i think ive got a real pearler :)

Bright yellow Evo 9 with carbon wrapped bonnet, 35k from new with full Ralliart history, very well modified.

Being new to Evo's hoping you guys can shed some light on some of the mods that i might have missed lol, the dealer told me the car is currently running a safe 410 BHP but was dyno'd at more by the previous owner then wound back to keep it safe ! Ive had to write to the previous owner for info and copies of the recipts for the work and mods as he only supplied the dealer with the Ralliart history but not the mods, hopefully i'll know a little more soon, so below are the mods that i can see and know of so far

Black team dynamics motorsport alloys
Larger front brakes
Coilover suspension with castor camber adjustment
Strut brace
Larger intercooler
Induction kit
Larger turbo with external wastegate
RE mapped
Full De cat exhaust system
HKS Boost guage in pillar pod
Carbon Vortex generator

Other than the above i'd be guessing, drove three other Evo's running the same power but this one felt significantly quicker, aside from the power its been someone else's baby and kept incredibly clean, it certainly brings a huge smile to my face when i get in it, have to say i'm smitten with the car :D

I'm very much an enthusiast, keen to learn more about my new pride and joy and equally as keen to get out there and meet like minded Evo owners :)

I'll try to get pics up tomorrow, if you spot anything ive missed i'd be really happy to find out what as i'm sure i'm bound to have missed things lol

Future plans, change the bonnet for a Siebon Carbon bonnet, Cabon rear diffuser, trip to a reputable dyno to find out exactly whats going on under the bonnet lol

Look forward to your comments

Welcome pal look forward to the pics. Some nice mods, and sounds like good power, as already modified get a health check done imo, sounds like from what you say it was well looked after but do you know who mapped it someone on here might have heard of the mapper and could possibly vouch for them.

Nice intro dude if only they were all like this

Welcome.

Get some pics up.

I suggest you probably got an uprated fuel pump too if its running 400.

Alos if we knoe where you from can guide on nearby tuners etc and possible find the previous owner who can guide a bit more!

pics of me Evo 9

Hi All

Thanks for the warm welcome, most appreciated :)

In answer to some of your questions, im still finding stuff out about the car lol so bear with me a bit, im based in Stafford, have seen only one other red Evo around town !

Turbo spec, unsure but discovered today its not running an external wastegate but definatly a a much larger unit, will get numbers tomo if im home early enough

Boost, not sure to be honest errr a lot lol too busy watching the road when under boost :)

Not sure who's cooler it is either

Afraid im not much help here eh guys, you lot can most likely tell me a lot more than i know ! the local tuner in stafford is the Chevron garage, only ever hear good things about them !

I'll keep you posted as i discover stuff, i only found out the rims were 18's today :D , hopefully will be getting all the paperwork soon and have the full breakdown of what's got going on.

So pics below, any info comments more than welcome

Any meets locally ?

Thanks

Cheers guys :)

i know what you mean buddy, i'd drive mine every day if it were possible, but alas she sits in the garage during the week and gets out for a run weekends, took her for a ride up to the peak district last weekend after i picked her up to get aquainted lol, awesome roads there and the scenery aint bad either :)

Planning a trip to the Nurburgring in a month or so, something i always wanted to do but never got round to it, that'l be my highlight of the year lol :D
