Newbie after info please?

Hello Im looking at buying and Evo in the next few months but just wondering if you could help me as what to look for? Thinking an 8, 9 or 10 all depends on what i get for my car to be honest.

Any common problems or things to look for?

Also modification, what we looking at i.e. exhaust, air intake, intercooler etc.

Sorry for the vague questions and i apologise if you have been asked these before but theres that many out there just want to make sure i go for a good example if i can.

you need to look for the usual things when buying a car..

rust.

damage.

ayc, you only want one light to stay on.

srs light to go out and also any other warning lights to go out.

me! i would want full service history.

look for any missing milage by checking old m.o.t if they have them or do a check online.

check m.o.t for any advisories.

oil,water and tell the owner you want to hear the car start from cold.. looking for smoke and any noises coming from the engine..

All depends on history...if its been serviced evey 4000 as they should and looked after then theres nothing wrong with them, all depends what you want aswell, would you want to tune it? Personally i got a fairly standard one and did want to do it myself....im nearly £3000 out of pocket now ha ha and still working on it...worth it tho should be 400bhp when new turbo and cams are in with a remap!
