Ive been a member for a while but didnt have an evo at the time, but as of 2 days ago im the owner of an evo 8
I swapped it for this -
Just spent an absolute fortune on it but kind of lost interest due to it being so impractical, after around 50 cars the evo is one ive never had and always quite fancied.
As for the one ive got, theres a few issues that hopefully you guys can help me with, and hopefully someone may know the car.
First thing is the model number, I was sold it as a fq340mr, looking at what info I can find I cant really confirm it, can I check with the vin somehow?
And also its been sold to me with a knackered clutch, something I should have spotted:hm: but hey ho! Apparently its got a triple plate exedy in there which is slight overkill if so ( running around 420bhp ) What im looking for is the cheapest option for now that will cope, im not planning on hard launches etc but will be driving it as I please lol Ive heard that the triple will fetch decent money second hand so it would be nice to think it will pay for its replacement?
Ive got a local specialist getting me a price for a full service so hopefully next week it will have a clean bill of health.

Probably a few other bits in there ive forgot, it also has stupidly wide wheels on ( rota gtr-d's 10j ) with spacers:shock: The deal was he was posting the standard rims up to me, after my rant over the clutch im not sure if he will send them now so ive found a buyer and now looking for some standard rims.
