just bought a evo 5, it cuts out sometimes and wont start again we out a jump start how can i test if the alternater is charging the battery thanks guys

when you say wont start do you mean--
Wont turn over
turns over but doesnt start?

One thing thats always an issue on the std batterys is the terminals. They become loose so grab the leads and see if its all tight.

Start with the easy stuff first

Fault codes!! wire between pin 1 + 4 on the obd port will flash the icons on the dash ... fast indicates units slow is tens

One of mine started playing up. Battery went completely flat all of a sudden when I parked up and came back to start an hour later. Bloody terminals
