Hi Toad660 and Welcome,

Was anything done to the car before the idle issue started? If it just started doing it out of the blue and your first step was to remove and clean the throttle body and your positive you don't have any boost leaks. might I suggest checking o rings on your injectors, Maf (Clean it),check O2 sensor.

Hi and welcome along buddy.

I see that Nick has already given you the low down PMSL!!!

I suggest that you park the idle whilst the EvoScan is engaged buddy.

I will send some one over right now to see if he can be of any help to you as I might be wrong considering I have not used EvoScan in a very long time! ;)

hi , new to the site joined cos my mate mark recommended this site. I have got a Evo 8 with afew mods, BC inverted coilovers all round , miltek full s/stainless system including a fast flow sports cat, been remapped , drilled and grooved discs all round with red stuffed pads and afew more bits here and there , its kicks out around 345 bhp which still puts a smile on my face.
Had a problem with it the last 2 weeks, took the throttle body off to clean out ,refitted it and it will only idle at 1200 rpm now.changed the stepper motor no change, reset the TPS with evoscan no change , no air leaks , i havent got a clue why its refusing to idle at 850rpm, the only time it idles at 850rpm is when i run evoscan and press actuate it drops to 850rpm but when i come out of evoscan it goes back up to 1200rpm..................is there anyone that can help cos its doing my head in..................lol......:))

have you disconnected the battery and left it for 5 mind and reconnected and taken for a 30 min drive to reset the ecu?
