New key question!

I need a spare key for my EVO 8, I don't use the buttons on the key that I have (removed battery) because it has a Cat 1 alarm which I use to open and lock the doors. Can I get a blank key cut and would it open the doors and start the car. Only asking because I locked my keys in the car at the weekend. I got them out using a stiff wire through the door rubber and pulled on the interior door handle. Dont want it to happen again. Cheers

Yes if you get a key cut it will work in ignition and doors but you will have to use immobiliser key as well to start the car

Random fact, pressing the lock button on your key 3 times then holding it down on the third will close your windows (if open) and fold your mirrors in...

You'll need to pop your battery back in though... Lol
