Evening fellow Evo fans.

Attached are pictures of my Evo 6 in white :)

My near future plans are:
- To remove the Evo VI sticker on the rear as it is peeling away
- Purchase a louder dump valve as i love the 'whoosh' sound (Recommendations of any dump valves you personally use is welcomed)
- Stage 1 mods (Again, anyone who wants to advise me on this, it is much appreciated).

Adrian

Thank you for the link youngy, was a good read and easy to understand.
m7gsr and gooner, thanks for your recommendations as well... I have had a little look at both but i think i'll wait until tomorrow to have a proper look at them.
I am correct in saying dual vent dump valves are much better for Evos but if i was to purchase an atmospheric dump valve, i'd need to convert it into a dual vent with a kit, correct?

Hello and welcome !

Yes dual port is the best. I recommend the turbo smart one as its probably the loudest and crisp sounding :)

Atmospheric ones like the hks will work but you'll have stalling issues. Yes it can be plumbed to recirc but only recirc or atmosphere not both as its not a dual port :)

nice looking 6 mate. welcome to the club.

Ive HKS on mine and although it sounds great i have stalling issues so its gonna have to go. Tial seems to be a well recommended one.

Thanks for the extra welcomes.
Rob, you have been thanked :) (That is where you click the 'woot!' link on the bottom right, right?)
Thanks for the input B6lee, i think i have a bit of saving to do for the Turbo Smart one but can imagine it to be well worth buying.

Thanks ste-p-evo6. Yeah i think i would get rather irritated with the whole stalling issue with an atmospheric so its going to have to be between APS, TIAL or Turbo Smart.
I have read Rob's thread regarding the stage one mods but can someone tell me approximately how much it would cost for the whole setup? Lets just say i wanted to up my VI to 300-320bhp.

I'd say 3 port solenoid £50
Decat £30
Downpipe £100
Fuel pump £70
Remap and labour on top of that. There are a few other bits you could have but I'd say that's a minimum. Probably forgot something though. LOL

Thank you for the welcome evo arms.
Youngy - thankfully, my Dad is a mechanic so in terms of fitting the parts, it shouldnt be a problem, just whenever he has the free time to help me with it. With regards to the decat, how do you pass your MOT without a cat?
Have you modified your own Evo or have you kept it standard?

Turbo smart wins :)

On your recommendation Lee, im going to leave APS out of the equation and focus on either a TIAL or Turbo Smart valve :) As mentioned previously, im going to have to start saving as i did not realise how expensive these things are so its just a waiting game now.
