Looking good Nick, just to keep it all in one thread, here is a pic of the wife's car at the Wheel Dealer shoot I did late last year (it will be in the new series starting next week, not sure what date it is released on!).

For the bodywork once IronX'd and clayed I seal with Finish Kare #1000p (3 coats) then add another 3 coats of Finish Kare Paste Wax over the top. Gives the silver a very deep wet look and brings out the blue in the finish.

Once I get the into the Evo a little more, expect more of the same.......

I love Iron-X and 303 Aerospace :D Brilliant products.
I treated my self to both before Christmas.

Apparently the iron-X gel smells a bit better, but still like rotting drains, haha.

Nice job nick lad, did you do a feel test after the iron-x just to see if it really lifted all de-contaminates ? and you didnt need to clay ?

I would still fancy claying it, just for peace of mind and to cure my Obsessive Car Detailing Disorder LOL

Ae you getting your APC from same place ?

Iron-X only removes the 'industrial fall out' like iron filings and stuff that lands on the car. I always de-tar and clay after still :)

I find using tardis a bit potent for what it does hence no de tarring ,anyway it was only a wash and wax basically not a full on correction detail;) There is hell of a noticable difference in the smoothness of the paint after just the iron x. I would not have gained much benefit in claying as the car is a 160000 miler with a stonechipped front end so all I wanted to acheive was a bit of smoothness and some protection as I don't know when the car had benefited from some wax. However the results were pretty impressive and the wheels are now like new:wub:
