Well today I gave my old faithful Saab a clean nothing fancy no correction just a wash and wax. Believe it or not this is the first time I have cleaned it myself:disgusted: It's true always gave it to the local hand wash to do as it's my runaround I wasn't really bothered about swirling and all the rest of it:whistling:
Anyhow the car in question is a Saab 93 LPT on a V plate (2000) with 160,000 miles:disgusted: on the clock but it is a 2 owner car with full Saab service history
Ok first up was to tackle the engine bay for this I used Megs super degreaser and then dressed the bay using 303 aerospace to leave this:wub: sorry I didn't take any before pics

Next I gave the car a jet wash of just water to get most of the loose dirt and dead flies etc. before using this amazing product called IRON X
Now this stuff is amazing, basically it's a clear liquid (which stinks:disgusted
which you spray onto the bodywork and wheels and it changes to a purple colour as it finds contaminants so you can see it working
So imagine claying your car without claying:whistling:that's basically what it does leaving the paintwork and wheels spotless and smooth
So here we have a few pics of the IRON X doing it's thing on the paintwork and wheels:wub:

Once the IRON X had done it's thing which took about 10 minutes
I pressure washed off. Then it was time to clean the wheels and wheel arches just using some Bilberry wheel cleaner gel, my trusty EZ Detail wheel brush and my small detailing brush for the nut inserts to leave my wheels and arches looking brand new inside and out
Like this:wub:

After the wheels it was time to break out the snow-foam and the snow of choice was Valet Pro PH Neutral snow-foam. I gave it a coat left to dwell for 10 minutes while I tackled the badges, bump strips and other trims with my detailing brush and some Megs APC. I rinsed off the snow-foam with my Nilfisk Pressure washer then re applied the snow-foam in readiness to wash using the 2 bucket method with Dodo Juice Super Natural Shampoo and my wookie fist wash mitt
Then rinsed off using an open ended hose to help with water sheeting to aid in drying
Then dried with B6LEE's favourite the plush drying towel x2, I also dried the bonnet, boot and door shuts.

Right next up was to use my free, yes free sample of Mer Hybrid Wax which was more than enough to do the whole car plus the wheels:whistling: The wax was applied using a Megs foam application pad then left to cure for an hour while I had my dinner and a cuppa
Then it was all buffed off using micro fibre towels x 2. I then dressed all tyres and exterior trim plastics with Aerospace 303 to leave the finished result:wub::wub:
