Hi, I've just put red stuff pads and drilled and grooved discs on my car, when braking hard from high speed they make a droning noise (very loud) is this normal????

Sounds normal, I put the same on my old m3 and they were very noisy.

What discs are they?

not sure what kind they are, i bought them on ebay for £100 as my local engineering shop wanted £60 to skim each of my old discs

They'll be the same as what I bought. It's the drilled holes that make the noise. Nothing to worry about IMO.

mine did the same, very similar to your setup. But noise are particularly bad at lower speed , just before coming to a stop. Changed the pads to Mintex, all gone but suffer from heavier brake dust. Not very nice on white wheels. at least people at the lights don't look at you thinking what the hell

Have exact problem too mate.

Fitted Pagid grooved discs with Pagid pads and they screech like mad.
I changed the pads to brembo ones which made it slightly better.
I was going to change the discs to brembo aswell to try and stop the squeal, but i will give them a few more miles yet.

I fitted them a few months ago and they still do it (I only use the car at weekends tho :))
If you find a solution let me know lol (i asked mitsubishi who clearly stated its not their brakes so that will be why).

That is very cheap for a set of disks..My bet it's partly down tot the groves in the disks.

Should be fine, not affecting braking or performance.

yep had drilled and grooved on my previuos car,was a nightmare if the car stood for a few days as the rust in crap settled in the grooves and that
