New Alloys for black Evo IX - Can't decided!

As title.

I know it is just a question of taste but my alloys are ditched and need replacing, never liked them from the day I bought the car and not even convinced they fit properly as one of my brake calipers on the front has the paint removed. I assume from where the alloy fouls them (probably also explain why it pull to the right under braking!!

Anyway, I have a black Evo and decided at the weekend to order some white alloys.

The supplier rang me yesterday to say they didnt have any in stock and unknown when next batch arriving and I needed to choose an alternative. The more I think about it the more I think this was a blessing in disguise as i'm not sure white would look as good as maybe I hoped (plus the fact i'm nearly 40 and think this is more of a young mans look to a car!!)

I am not looking to spend mega bucks so rules out OZ, Speedlines etc but wonder if anyone has a black evo, or pictures of black Evos with White alloys on so I can decided.

The alternatives I have been considering are the obvious black ones or maybe gun metal. I think bronze would probably look good too but suspect that would make people think I am a scooby wanna be!!

Any pics appreciated to help me decide and any online stores you recommend buying from (i'm currently using performancealloys.com)

Cheers

heres a black one white wheels, google images it brings up a few matey

Google Image Result for http://registry.evolutionm.net/garage/11366/images/lg_evo2-xl.jpg

Cheers - not sure that's helped me decided either way. They look good but still keep thinking a dark colour like Gun metal or black will give it a more mean look!!

If the car was white, red or blue I think white rims would look much better. I just think black car looks 'tender' on white rims but it maybe a choice or just chosing the right ones.

I'll keep searching! lol

Yes the advan rs or rota force will look good in a 9x18 rim.

Also rota torque drifts or rota grid drifts will look rude as UC on a black car :):)

Thanks all.

I did seriously consider the Rota Force they are awesome and if it were the only thing that needed changing on my car would have defo bought them. They are awesome!

However, for now have looked at some cheaper alternatives and finally settled on some 18X8.5 DARE Drift RG2s in Graphite. Hopefully they will look good!

Will post some pics up with them on when I get them.

Here they are without wheels;

Drift Wheels 1

Cheers for all the input

Price on Rota wheels have gone up a bit compared to what they used to be.... Looking at just over £800 for a set of 18s without tyres.... Not bad when u compare to the price of Advans and Volks...

Yep I was quotes between £820 to £900 for Rota Force, they are a great wheel and will be putting some cash a aside for a set of these in the future.

The DARE alloys I have chosen are specially designed for EVOs and SCOOBIES and told will be good! Fingers crossed, I will report back.

Anything is better than the garbage I have on at the moment (the ones that came on the car). It looks to me like the previous owner may have nibbled bits out to clear the calipers and also stuck some horrid cheap chrome rim protectors on it to try and make them look like split rims (or more likely to cover the excessive kerbing!!)

DARE wheels should be with me by end of week.

I was surprised how many of the wheels I had looked at didnt have the clearance on the calipers. I guess tis could have been solved with larger rim widths or spacers but personally if I am buying new I want ones fit for purpose from the shop!

Didn't realise ROTA where Advan copies. £2.5K eek. I gulped at £1100+ for OZ racing or Speedlines (loved the wheels but not the price!)
