hey guys, firstly a little sympathy please i love my evo and had plans for a 5 ecu plus injectors, wallbro and elec boost control etc
but sadly my girlfriend of 4 years has decided to move on and i will now have to live on my own and obviously pay 100% of rent/bills etc as i only earn £6.82 ph the evo MUST go and i have to buy.......a cheap a to b aaaagh!!

so what do i put this up for? its done 115k but 100 of this was km so prob only 72k miles??? its had a full engine build with bills by FQ performance, this includes evo 9 crank and rods all balanced up with a.c.l big end bearings, full top end build valve stem seals, lash adjusters etc also MR cams fitted, balance shaft delete and low milage evo 8 turbo, it also has apexi induction and a full 3in stainless jasma exhaust.

its had a black interior re-trim with 5 seats front and back, looks great.

its had full front diff and gearbox re-build with new bearings and new fidanza clutch.

wheels recently powdercoated, £200 job
engine build was £1300
diff+gearbox build over £600
over £350 odd for clutch

bad points are cat light on dash, bought it like that, it has de-cat and i dont know what happened to the sensor or wires

washer bottle pump failed

whine from cam belt idler but i will include a new gates
blue racing belt kit with all tensioners and idler.

as its only done just 2000 miles since engine build its running actuator boost pressure and is only 7 psi, it could prob be turned up and properly tuned now,
does drive lovely though and is still very fast on just 7psi

it will have 6 months tax atleast and i think about 6 months mot
its having work done right now on its rear driveshaft as there is now noise and vibration, annoyingly started last sunday

i would like atleast £2500 is that reasonable? or less if somehow my garage cant sort this new vibration issue, what do you guys think?
cheers
luke

i dont mind if someone gets a bargain as long as they see it reach its powerful potential!

ha ha!

oh yeah location would help!
cornwall im afraid, redruth to be precise!

the car was imported in 2008 and kept up buy a guy rich enough to have an aston martin db9 track day weapon!, then a guy at fq performance owned it, then a mechanic 30 miles from me and finally me!!

id like no less than £2500 cash which is silly low for the car or £2200 with the vibration issue not sorted as it looks like it will cost me around £300 to get it put right!
im easy either way,
the vibration is'nt gearbox, transfer or diff related, its either the bush carrier things that the prop runs through or there is side to side movement on one rear driveshaft but no movement on the other so it might be that, possibly c.v joint??, hopefully ill find out on monday,
the car is at an impreza garage, but honestly its a great garage and the most qualified around here to look at the evo!

Cheers mate for the extra info.. A mate of mine likes my evo4 and he is thinking about getting into the evo world..

He isnt fussed much about other things as the likes of paintwork etc and other niggly bits can be sorted through time..

He is more concerned about the dreaded rust and underneath.. But to be fair that looks spot on..

How recent are the pics does it more or less look that fresh under it now.. What about the engine bay any signs of any rust around it ?

where do they rust?

I cant say there are any bad areas or what area to look at first.. They are just generally rot box's if not looked after.. Undersealed cavity waxed etc etc..

If you can at some point would you mind taking some more pics just some more general pics of the engine bay and some shots of the paintwork maybe some showing down the side of the car. .

I now it does look straight but wee dings here and there look a nightmare. Not that they cant be sorted etc..

And location God could you have got any further away from my mates location lol He is in n.ireland

cheers!

thanks mjc man!
don't know if you got my reply to your message?
but sadly my diff and last part of the prop are scrap, its not through bad driving its because the prop had been running eccentric and I didn't know until the diff starting making bad noises then of course it was too late!
as it stands its a trailer away job, but hopefully between me and my pal ross we can find another good diff and prop!

sigh !!!

Replied to your pm. What a shame as I was very interested myself rather than having my mate him n ha about it.

If I was able to get it trailered and have it worked on myself I would, but between logistics and is it economical for me to get it trailered over to Ireland and fixing it etc etc I just don't know ????
