Ok, so I have had a problem where the boost is 'bled away' when I throttle on and off quickly.. I.e. When changing gear. Like a sticky dump valve... I bought a new dump valve but problem is still there now and then....
So,
Whilst talking to a friend, he said the speedo converter sometimes may affect the running... It's a long shot but I thought why not try it... So I looked behind the cluster and there was a Speedm8 converter... As advise, I just cut one of the signal wire so that the speedo wouldn't work.
Now the car drives prefect, I can change gear quickly without it feeling like the boost is bled away! Just in case it was coincident I wired up a switch so that I can connect/disconnect the speedo. I switch the speedo back on and the problem is back!
What the hell is going on!?!?!
Also! With speedo on/working, the car drives with the problem, when I let of after boost, the exhaust BANG! With a spit of flame every time.... When I say bang, I do mean bang! Louder than a shot gun, not just a 'pop'
But,
With speedo off / not working, the car drives fine, and also, no pop or bang at all! And believe me I have tried, but nothing at all...
So, do I now drive it with or without speedo... Which is safer? And why have I got this problem? I've had many different turbo cars before, but never have I come across anything like this!
Please help me!
