need help...acd bleeding

As title says, iv replaced my transfer box and been told how to bleed it but doesnt seem to be working, how long should it take for the fluid to come out a steady stream. Iv got the car on four axle stands running it about 30mph whilst steering side to side and opening the bleed nipple (it is on the bottom of the tbox?) Only the odd dribble is coming out....how long should it take normally? Any help would be apriciated

Right the pumps now kicking in when i do the accelerator ignition thing.....would this open the solenoids to allow the pump and tcase to be bled? its just not pumping it out of the tcase......PLEASEE HELP!!. I want to drive it again, all the hard works been done just need it bleeding now

Shouldn't take long at all. Does the pump slow as it builds pressure or run at continuous speed ?

Sounds like its at a continuous speed, are them bleed kits any good that you can get off here....thinking of buying one

haven't tried one on acd pump yet but for bleeding a 4/5/6 pump they are an absolute god send !!

That would be bloody brilliant if you could andy6, do you have one of them bleed kits or do you do it manually? Cant seem to get any pressure to the tcase

Thanks for coming down yesterday andy6! We've come to the conclusion that a couple of solenoids arnt working....well we think, how can i test to be sure its them? And are they hard to get hold of?

You're welcome mate, how far have you got with the solenoids? Looks difficult to get hold of replacements!

Ha ha yeah got two out perfect one snapped in but managed to get the rest out, turns out i snapped the one that was working! been looking and i found hens teeth before i found some ha ha, so im looking at £450-600 for new ones or £579 for a fully refurbed ayc pump with them in...... ball ache or what!? But again thanks for coming down, oh yeah when i took the first solenoid out there was shit loads of pressure in there..atf everywhere ha ha

I am having the solenoid necks manufactured in the next month or so.

You'd be able to remove the snapped bit within the coil housing, transfer your spring, piston and internals over to the new body re-insert into your coil housing.

Along with offering the repair kits and bleed boxes this will be a cost effective way of completely overhauling AYC/ACD pumps with no worries of having to find hen's teeth

Is it the necks that stop them moving? Theres still a circut there as the power probe lights up green when touched on the two contacts without any power through, ill keep hold of these solenoids then how much are your bleed kits?

Nah generally they need actuating whilst spraying WD40 on them to free them off.

There will be a circuit because it's a coil....

Bleed boxes are £80 delivered, trouble is I have non at the mo I'm waiting for enclosures.
