What intercooler and injectors are you running, and is it a 2.3 stroker ? i'm guessing it is on Evo 6 ecu still ?

I have come across a few cars lately that struggle to make the power that they really should make, due to them using an Evo 5/6 maf sensor, however from my own car, I know that the 7/8/9 maf sensor doesn't cause any issue's, so it might be worth getting hold of a later maf first, for the cost of them to stop that becoming an issue.

I have no funds for it at the moment but I do want bigger turbo and better cams if you know of anything going cheap or anyone wanting swaps for parts!!

I have a large pace intercooler and standard injectors with regard to the maf and ecu if you know of one I may be up for it

I don't know of anyone that has a later maf for sale, maybe worth you putting a wanted post on the mlr (they usually go for anything upto £50),as i'm sure loads have them kicking about from when they switched to aftermarket ecu's.

The 6 ecu shouldn't be a problem at the moment, as your only running a "small" stock turbo, but should you change to a GT35 at a later date, you may need to change to an Evo 7 or 8 260 ecu (as there is more scope with those at the moment).

I'm not aiming for massive power as I want it as an everyday driver 450 would be ideal like I said if you know of a cheap turbo or cams I am open for suggestions and also I have stuff for swaps

I might have a later maf kicking about somewhere, I'll have a look tomorrow and get back to you.

I'm sure the std maf will be ok for that tubby for now (with masses of low down grunt:cool:)

Tbh i think I would gave a amazingly quick 0-100 rather than a huge top end

You should have massivly quick spool up, as the stock turbo's spool quick anyway, but due to the size of the engine, it's going to run out of puff very early (maybe by 5500rpm, poss a bit later, depending on how well your boost controller can hold boost, and how well the cams work).

well fair doos, not heard that before (learn something everyday:D)

......must be why I cant get mine past 380........or that could be to do with std cams, std tubby, std internals and only 1.5bar.......lol

Pah I had 380/390 out of my stock engine, turbo and cams, albeit at 1.75bar peak ;) (altho thinking about it at 1.9bar it didn't make any more power, but at the time I assumed it was down to the turbo overheating the air).

So is it gonna be any quicker than my previous 2litre engine

It will be quicker off the line, and through the revs upto around 5500 / 6000rpm , but top end might not be quite as good as it was before.

What bits do you have to sell on / swap ? (not that I have any of the bits you need, or indeed need any bits for my car at the moment thankfully).

I've just had a quick look and already found 2 mafs lol

will need to get the part numbers verified though
one is - 787 E5T08072
and the other is 399 E5T08073

....probably got more if I dig deeper....lol (I forget how much stuff I've gathered over time)
