Hi All

Collecting this V tomorrow :awesome:

Really quite excited

Coming over from the dark side of subaru ownership. Sold it back in November and bought a BMW diesel, the "nice" car feeling lasted all of about a month before i was itching for something fast again!

Hoping to get to a few meets in/during the summer and another Nurburgring trip this year.

Thanks for looking

Dan

Thanks for the welcome guys

My old subaru

1995 WRX Type RA, was a great car loads of fun a and NOISE lol. Sold it back in November and bought a BMW E46 320CD as i do a lot of miles commuting at the mo still got the bimmer its awesome on the motorways 6 gears and cruise control is perfect! Had it mapped to nearly 200bhp with a silly amount of torque:wtf:

awful pic quality!

Well the car is mine now, and all i can genuinely say is WOW  what a car! the acceleration and noises it makes are brilliant, think im going to be having a lot of fun in this thing!

Only down points are, i managed to crack the manifold  went to see my Dad after i bought it and drove down a dirt road to his house, full of pot holes and BANG under the car

Dent in the down pipe and a cracked (standard one) manifold.

Also a kind of clunk in the steering  if when stood still i rock the steering wheel from side to side i get a little knock either way. Im assuming its either a tie rod end or a rack bush. I got my hand under the dash to check if any of the connections on the column were loose and i dont think they were, but doing the same thing with the wheel i could feel the knock resonating through the column.

But the car is off to my mates garage friday to weld up the manifold and re do all the gaskets in case i nipped any of them, so will get him to check for any play the steering. I cant think its anything else as it comes up through the steering wheel.

But all in all im absolutely ecstatic about the car

ThanKa for the comments guys :)

BBB3: we were chatting on another thread the other day, lovely looking subaru you had. Those VF turbos go well on subarus. You were right about the difference of the two cars and how you would never go back!

I had for 4 year's, i was going to put a forged 2.5 lump with 6 speed box
before i done that thought about it...then end up buying a 200sx s14a spending bit of money on that left the impreza in the garage for a while
sold the 200 got my self my 8MR :)

People say that evo and subs are the same, they are completely different....

Love the VF roller bearing turbo's. Sound awesome :) I remember the first one I came across, was in a STi v3 I imported in. I didn't know what the noises it was making were! lol

Ha yeah when you turn the engine off and the turbo makes that strange but cool noise :awesome:

My mate had one on his STI 5. Mine had a TD05 16g on it, standard unit

It's quite a struggle to get an impreza near the 400 mark with evo exhaust filter and map you're nearly there :)

Yeah the V is running those plus an avc-r :)

Just a bit paranoid about rods etc if I go for more, especially after being a Subaru owner lol the paranoia of engines popping is stuck in my head
