Yeah mate, thats why i need to fit the stanadard cooler to get it running, then but a uprated nice shiney cooler and then get a garage to do me a custom pipes, depends thought as i'll be getting a new 4" intake pipe for my filter so that will be smaller than the current one iv got,

Well got some more bits through the post this week :razz: got a few boxes now in my room at work :whistling: mates are saying "its like a garage in there"

.Standard intercooler pipes from Paul.
.ABS Sensor/4" Intake from Ross Sport.
.Chrome EVOLUTION VIII boot badge from Dave@Ears.
.Number plate bulb holders/Inner handle surround from JPP.
.12v Power Outlet Cap from Ebay.

So when i get home on Saturday, i'll be busy fitting them.
But so i don't have to waste time when i get home iv cleaned all the crap and minor rust dots from the Intercooler and pipes ready to Metal Polish when iv fitted them. big difference already

Iv also bought another 8 bumper because of the crack on my current bumper :ninja: so that should arrive tomorrow.

Update - well after i got home yesterday morning i started of to get some more work done on the car, firstly by fitting the standard Intercooler, which looks so much better than the ridiculous autobahn 88 cooler which didnt line up properly but yeah its sorted now

Then while my bumper was off i decided to De-Tango the headlights, a bit of a pain but got there in the end

Then i fitted the mudflaps, all evo should have flaps, they look

Then onto fitting the Window Deflectors, now the rears were simple, the front are very tight and sit up against my wing mirrors, so i may need to trim them down slightly when im next home, so sacked it off and moved onto the reg plate bulb holders, whipped the bumper off and fitted them

also fitted the bonnet rain vent and inner handle surround aswel

Yeah tell me about it well im hoping to get the MOT/Tax done end of this month and would like some discs like yours to set off the brakes quite nicely

Yeah mate its had a few good hours work done to it. only need a hotside and she will be breathing again properly. then one on the road i can get traders/garages do their magic to the engine/detailing ect, but as you say will be worth all the hard work in the end.

Bit of an update, well i came home on Friday evening after being sat in the traffic on the M62 Southbound for about 6 hrs , stupid lorry :ninja:

As i wanted to do some work i couldn't really as it was a bit too dark and iv not got a garage, so i left it until sat morning, were i made a brew and got cracking unwrapped a few parcels to reveal my new Double din surround, boot interior, HKS Rad Cap that i won form Optimum Performance's monthly prize draw, and a HKS Evolution Sun-strip sticker.

First thing was to get the car started as it was dead from sitting for a good month with out a start, so checked the oil and then jumped it of my mums Beetle :razz:, i got my new £26 Ebay jobby wind deflectors fitted, and tbh i like them a lot, save me what £200 odd pound for genuine parts so.... :awesome:after that i fitted the boot interior, because the stuff it had when i got it was sh*gged and had mark all over them, looks better just need some retaining clips similar to the wheel arch liners i think.

Then waited for the Mr Sun Shine to appear and gave her a good old scrub, she needed it as there was bird sheet all over the rear end due to a ****ing tree . so a

:angel: I will but tbh iv not taken to her like i should have done really so iv not go any pics, and at the mins shes all stripped down waiting for some welding and paint, then ill get some up

Yeah when i got it i was chuffed but just gradually gone off them, iv had it for about 5 years and not really done a whole lot of work to it, but iv told myself that ill sort her out once the evos on the road,

Well today while im still off work, i sprayed the RalliArt Stencil on the Intercooler, and then cleaned up the black parts of it by sanding and then spraying 3 coats of gloss black Halfords own Paint, and then decided that i didn't like the grey rad so i sprayed the Bumper side of the rad black.

It doesn't half looks better from the front, no more horrid grey popping through the grill,

so i waited for that to dry and sprayed the last of the interior door pillar trims. :awesome:

Then after messing around with the spraying i fitted Just the EVOLUTION part of the rear Boot badge so iv still got the VIII part left to collect dust as i like how it looks now :razz:
