My Evolution story

Post 1.
Thought I would take you through the story of the last 3 years of my VII RSII ownership.

Will break this up into various posts to make it easier to post up pics. This might take some time to complete so bare with me.

Here goes:

Bought the car standard back in July 2007 as completely standard.
Front brakes were warped when I bought it, so 1st thing was to have Performance Friction dics and pads fitted at Norris Designs. While I was in noticed he had a Blitz exhaust so have to have that fitted too. And put on some RALLIART mud flaps

Post 2.
Next step was to find out what power it had, so went to RR day at Westec Performance, Newport.
Made 315 BHP / 280 ft.lbs on the rollers. Was happy with the readings at the time.

Post 3.
Gave it a good clean and hand polish.

Post 4.
Then it was time to start meeting various club members and get out and use it. First few meets with the South Wales Evo scene.
Excuse quality of some pics as were taken yrs ago.

Due to winter coming in, was time to fit PIAA bulbs all round.

Was Feb 08 when I decided was going to go down the rally slag route. Couldn't afford new wheels at the time. So only option was to have my Evo VIII Enkies painted white, managed to borrow a friends set of track wheels while mine went for paint.

Post 7
Was March 08 when the magic happened, took the car to SJS Designs for the complete 2002 WRC replica look using vinyl graphics.
Took 2 guys 2 days to transform the car and everything was scaled as close as could be to the original WRC car.
As I'm Scottish and with the passing away of Colin McRae, wanted his name on the car, but he never drove for Mitsubishi. Was lucky that in 2002, Alister McRae his little brother drove the Evo VII in the WRC. Therefore still managed to get the McRae name on the car.

March 08, was time for 45k Timing belt service at Indigo-GT and Apexi Induction kit fitted.
Also got a set of carbon rear window vents.

Post 10.
June and July 08, the following parts fitted by Indigo-GT
Magnex 3" downpipe,
Evo 400 sport CAT
Apexi AVCR boost controller
Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump
Apexi Power FC D Jetro ECU fitted and mapped.

Post 11.
July 08, was able to take part in the Largest Parade of Evo's as part of the World Record attempt at Castle Combe. Mine was 6th from the front. 273 Evo's on track was amazing and noise was immense.

Post 12
5 speed Gearbox Syncro's gone, had to get a gearbox replacement. Ended up going for low milage Evo 9, 6 Speed gearbox supplied and fitted by Indigo-GT. Had to fit Evo 8, 6 Speed centre console and RALLIART 6 speed gearnob.

Oct 08.
Fitted following parts:
Monster Manifold heatshield
AMS cam cover
EFL Radiator cooling plate
Attended Rolling Road at Circuit Motors, Castle Combe. Was reading 342bhp / 321 Lb/ft.

Jan 09, Some Samco blue hoses added and a set of Sabelt 4 point harness.

Post 15
Apr 09, water pump leaking, new water pump and timing service kit carried out by Indigo-GT. Clear cam cover and solid lash adjusters fitted.

Post 16.
May 09, Car was looking faded, looked into detailing products for weeks then decided to give it full paint correction and detail. Took me 2 day whole days to mask and polish car using dual action polishing equipment.
