Ok guys when i am turning over the car from cold i am getting a 2000rmp idle and lasts about 1min or so but now got some thing more going on i have a ticking noise think its the lash adjusters and from cold the rpm is just going above the 2000rpm but when doing so the idle starts this surging were its going from 2000rpm and just over then bounces back to 2000rpm as if the throttle has been pressed what could this be at the min the car is still off the road but i turn it over every 2 days this surging has just started petrol i am useing is v power as the lad who i got the car off said he was useing the good stuff.

Just to add once warm it does sit at 1000rpm i dont know if its becouse the car is just sat and not been used i know out the tail pipe i am getting what looks to me condensation put my hand in it for a few mins does not smell like oil or petrol
