ive just finished off the second alloy just need to finish the other two then go see jay and get them balanced and back on the car and finally get to see how she looks on the newly painted wheels and lowered gonna take the rear spoiler off as well as on saturday i hope to make a start on the spoiler replacement.

my car is in even more bits, taken a few bits out of the engine bay and should have them finished by the end of the week and car back on its wheels.

here is a pic of some of the parts i have taken off my engine to respray, the parts were black but fancy a change for next year, i've also taken off the air box lid, induction pipe and cam belt cover and im also gonna take off the camshaft cover

you can see where the primer had reacted but ill give it another coat of primer and sand it down it will be ok then.

hi mate as u know i have recently done this and ive had discolouration from it and the reason i think is for these reasons:blush:

1 didnt use plastic primer
2 didnt use high tempretature paint

so i will be using this next time

also if u are masking the lettering i can tell u now its a nightmare

stevo im using a normal primer that ive been using on the wheels etc, and plan on using the same paint/colour as the wheels which will be durable and shouldnt fade if it does then ill just redo the bits lol. i masked up the letter hence why they are still black and yeah i agree its a nightmare

geof yeah im still going strong gonna get some high temp lacquer for the calipers and hope halfords have the colour soon so i can get the wheel done and off to jay to get balanced and back on the car. should hopefully get the road tax friday so will be driving her again been too long.

hi guys here is a quick mock up or my spoiler replacement just to get an idea of size and look

i decided it was too high so cut it down this is the only pic i have at mo but will stick it on the car later and get a pic.

this is the second mock up on the car

ive made a few changes already to this mock up as the top was still too wide and not shark fin like which is what the design is based on, ill be getting the fibre glass out soon and make a few bits a pieces for the car including the final design for the fins.

What is it your doing with the spoiler then ? I Thame it you have removed the smaller 260 spoiler so why not just fit a normal size Evo 8 spoiler

I'm net really a sticker fan but each to there own on that one.

i use to have huge indigo-gt stickers on the car but have taken them off and plan to get smaller ones. i thought the diddybot stickers would be a laugh and looking at getting camo wrap in red, black and anthracite to cover the whole boot lid once i weld up the holes if i go that route. I want to do something different than the huge wing
