Ok bit of a update after trying 5 bodyshops around the north east i got one who could be arsed to come out and have a look over my car on what it needs doing. Now the guy is sound and was much more helpful then the others i have tryed and he even had time to chat to me and not be in a rush to get off and go anyway besides all that he got a list together what needs doing and i want your honest opinion.

Here is the list

Labour rate is at £35.00 per hour & vat added

Front bumper: To remove, strip down front bumper completely
for painting remount & realign. Repaint bumper mesh grilles x4

Repair bonnet: Remove all bonnet trims repaint inside & out & reassemble

Side skirts: Left & Right remove repaint reassemble

Slam panel: Remove trims headlamps etc repaint slam panel reassemble trims headlamps etc

Rear bumper: Remove and remove trims and fill in fog lamp hole repaint

Filler cap: Repaint cap aperture

Bootlid: Remove trims and spoiler & repaint inside and out

Local O/S/R inner quarter panel aperture

Local O/S/R Wheel arch lip

Local Bottom N/S/R Arch

Remove rust on underside of boot floor back to bare treat and repaint

Free pick up and delivery now for the total £3000.00

That's what i thought even he agreed him self plus its 3 stage pearl white so i don't think that helps maybe not sure i have sent him a email this morning to see how much it would be to repaint the whole car in wicked white see if that would be cheaper.

What do you mean what do i need doing the list is up the top ^^^^^ yes the car needs picking up and once work has been done for it to be redelivered back to me.

Ok think its time for a small update nothing major going on as of yet apart from i spent £366.00 on parts for the bumpers more so on the rear so i am waiting for all the bits to turn up its a big list. The other is i have found a bodyshop who i seen at a vw show and after a long phone call and some great advice and been honest from the off it will be having a full on respray but in the same colour both me and the guy who is going to do the spray job both agreed this is the best option for the car and for it to look right. There is one thing what i spotted the other day i was washing and giving the evo a vac out and on moving the car back to were i keep it i spotted a very tiny bit of oil on the ground from the rear so i manged to get on the bottem to have a look and on the inspection panel on the diff there was very old oil (black) and a mix of what looked like fresh so i cleaned the area up with brake fluid best as i could not perfect as that rear diff is very dirty and having no ramps did not help but not much came away to be honest so i dont know if its been from were its had oil changes in the passed and who ever has done them has not cleaned the area up after change or one of the washers is bust or some thing more there is no knocking coming from the rear diff the ayc is not loseing any fluid and i dont have 3 solid green lights every thing is working as it should maybe someone could offer there advice on this one. I checked it the other day and apart from been left with a wet look think off the brake fluid every thing seems ok no oil on my fingers in that area but someone said it might start leaking when its been moved and its not been moved since so we will see. Hope to have the evo in and out the bodyshop before xmas so that's all guys for now

*Update Time* My evo is now booked in for its full respray in the same colour as it is pearlescent white plus its having some work done on the underside above were the exhaust is and its having the inner wheel arches treated as well it goes in on the 26th of september and i will not have it back again until after xmas but i am sure i will have pics to show the progress i think i am getting a bargin costing me £3000.00 all told.

Its getting one in time along with a carbon spoiler to it will look even more tidy and much better then it is after its had its full respray and the bits of carbon i want put on

Its a small update time went to take some more bits to the bodyshop and to take a look how things are going and its looking sorry for it self.

Ok huge update is needed on this thread i have been trying for ages to get back on here and failed until today when i thought i would give google chrome ago and the site fired right up! strange as i have never had any problems before just using explorer anyway a lot has been going on as the last post showed the evo was taken apart and work slowly started its turned into a long process but i am sure all this waiting is going to pay off in the end anyway enough of me here is some new pics of were my evo is at this moment

This is were the bonnet has been fixed and resprayed all so the front and rear bumper are in primer ready to be painted







And just this morning got this pic of him making a start on the car it self so things are moving but he did say a lot of work ahead.

Ok update again its coming to a end at the bodyshop i am thinking it might be home some time this week maybe we will have to wait and see.

Mind the rear reg it is not mine!
