Heres the bad bits
AYC pump removed (second hand one supplied)
Missfireing (couldnt get car to run yet due to anti hijack alarm)
Needs welding in 3 places
Needs fuel pipes as corroded
Colour has faded alot since pics above and overall the car is in a sorry state, some of the spec given isnt on the car.


Got it in the workshop today and started stripping out the inside, there was tons of wiring, so ripped out the anti hijack system.
Found broken trims which im going to replace.
Alot of wires have been bodged and not covered properly.

Best thing I did on mine was to remove the anti-hijack system.

I had the clifford blackJax5 - Hated it. Also found out when I renewed insurance that it makes buger all difference too so just kept the Cat 1 Alarm.

Stripped it a bit more tonight and started to find the extent on how much work is required!!

Yes is alot worse than i thought, going to cut the rust out, treat it and weld it, dash is being removed also so i can get the sound proof out as its wet plus wiring has been messed with and with dash out i can get to wires easier.

I shall keep up with progress as i do it.

Only managed to get the dash out this evening as had a family meal to go to with the missis.

As you can see from the first pic the engine bay is terrible, its got underseal all over it.
Iv purchased a sealed airbox for the filter made by evolution solutions in crackle black so trial fitted it tonight, not a straight forward fit because of the wiring so need to re-route it in places. As i had that area stripped i decided to see if the underseal would come off and it did with ease, second pic show area cleaned up a bit, only spend 10-15mins on it and a quick wipe, as you can still see some of the undersealer.

Cut all rot out from nearside front floor and welded that up, need to get car on ramp to check underneath now but that wont be for a while so going to sort out engine bay area next.

Not done much to it in last couple of weeks as work has been to busy, but today managed to repair wiring where the anti hijack system was removed and got her running for the first time since i bought her. Was missing at first but steveo told me it had a missfire, so i took off the coil packs and whipped the plugs out, number 3 was wet. While the plugs were out i did a compression test to to be safe and all 4 cylinders were 9.5-10 bar.
Fitted a new set of plugs that came with the car, refitted the coilpacks and she purred into life. There was an odd tappet or 2 that was noisey for a short while but once it had been running for few mins they went quiet, left it running for a while and the fan cut in and out.

Iv sourced a set of mirrors in the correct colour so that will save me a few £££ in painting them.

Got into work this morning and started her up, fires straight away and no tappet noise or missfire, so im happy about that although the 3in downpipe is blowing at the flexi.
